About That Girl

I'm a twenty-four year old girl who always seems to strive for balance in her life.

I love looking at rainbows, they make me happy.

I think that cucumbers are DISGUSTING.

I believe that doing something that you're passionate with your life is more important than anything...and if you do something you're passionate about, and put your heart and soul into it..then you'll find a way to make it work.

I'm a little bit of a travel addict. I spent a year in Europe and now I'm hooked and can't wait to go everywhere and anywhere.

I'm graced with some of the best friends a girl could ever wish for.

I've lived on a farm for twenty years. I can't imagine ever settling down in a city.

I have two degrees - A double major in History and Psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Education. I'm currently not using either of them in a traditional sense.

I hate ironing. It makes me go BLAAAAAAAARG.

If I could wear pajamas in public, and it was socially acceptable...I probably would...because they're so comfy cozy. And I love being comfy cozy.

I've (mostly) stopped caring what people think about me. I am who I am...love it or hate it...that's up to you.

I live on a strawberry farm, but don't usually eat strawberries on a regular basis.

I wish I could save the world, and am making an attempt in my life to give back more.

I'm trying to do 101 things in 1001 days. I need lists and deadlines to motivate myself to do things a lot of the time - even when they're things that I'm really passionate about and that I love. If I don't have lists and deadlines I get overwhelmed and frustrated and throw my hands up in the air and want to cry.

I've gone up the Eiffel tower in Paris, walked through the Colosseum in Rome and watched protests outside Big Ben in London. I've toured throughout the Parthenon in Athens, eaten Churros in Madrid and drank Guiness in Ireland. I ate waffles and fries in Belgium, strolled the Berlin wall, and watched gondoliers serenade people in Venice - and dropped by the Venice of France (Annecy), as well as the Venice of Belgium (Brugge). I peed on the worlds sketchiest train in Serbia, watched flamenco dancers in Seville and washed dirt off my feet in the middle of a square in the Czech Republic. I've been to the remains of the deathcamp of Auschwitz and seen the labour camp of Sachsenhausen. I've been 130 meters underground in a coal mine in Poland and eaten the best perogies you could have ever imagined in Krakow. I've biked throughout the grounds of Versailles and eaten approximately six million icecreams in a swelteringly beautiful Budapest. I've walked up to the royal families castle in Liechtenstein and seen where the sound of music was filmed. I've travelled to a few dozen cities in Switzerland and skied in the Swiss Alps - and that's just a small snapsnot of the places I went and the things in the year I lived in Europe.

I can't eat much icecream - I usually get a kids cone and can barely finish it, I'm not sure why.

I love being Canadian. I think it's pretty awesome.

I can't wait to go back to Africa and go on Safari again.

My brother can sew way better than I can - but that's not surprising because he's way better with building and making things than I am.

If I had to choose vanilla or chocolate - I'd usually pick vanilla.

I'm pretty easy going - infact, I often get yelled at for being TOO easy going and never making decisions or putting up a fight about anything.

I like blogging - and have been doing it for the better part of a decade at random sites on the internets.
